Founded in 2014, in honor of Amanda’s beloved grandmothers that underwent cancer treatments. Amanda has been trained by some of the best in the industry and continues ongoing education regularly to brings these modern techniques to the city of Erie. Being passionate about ingredients you can be sure the safest and best products or tools in the industry will be used to further enhance the longevity of your results.
Gem City Permanent Cosmetics is located in the lower level of the Spa Lapis building. It is regulated and inspected by the Erie County Health Department as a tattooing establishment.
All services include a numbing agent during and an aftercare packet with instructions is also provided. A consultation is necessary to choose the appropriate technique and go over any possible contraindications such as medical conditions or medications that may effect the healed results.
Consultation
The first step to having any permanent cosmetic services. Health, medical history and skin type all play an important role in determining the best technique. Shape, color, style, aftercare and upkeep are all topics that will be discussed.
When scheduling a full service after the consultation a non refundable booking fee of $100 is required to reserve your appointment’s including touchups. This will go towards the final cost of the service unless in the event of canceling or rescheduling without 48hrs notice.
Microblading-550
A natural looking eyebrow hairstroke technique that simulates the appearance of hair to help brows appear fuller. A pin strung needle and pigment is used to create a fuller yet soft looking eyebrow. This is a manual technique and not done with a tattoo machine which allows it to be closer to the surface for a softer more natural looking healed result that fades gradually. The best candidates for this technique are those with healthy, normal to dry skin types, small or no visible pores and existing eyebrow hair. Those who are not good candidates for Microblading have oily skin, large pores, rough texture, sun damaged skin, reddened skin, excessively dry skin, or little to no eyebrow hair. This technique requires two visits 4-6 weeks apart to complete and can last 1-2 years or more before a touch up is needed.
Nano Brows-600
A fine hairstroke technique using a tattoo machine for better pigment longevity than microblading. The healed results are similar but this makes it possible for skin types like slightly oily and aging skin to have some texture to lightly fill in and blend existing hair. This technique requires two visits 4-6 weeks apart to complete and can last 1-3 years or more before a touch up is needed.
Powder Brows-650
An eyebrow technique that gives density similar to a powdered makeup look. This is a uniform tone throughout the eyebrow shaded with a tattoo machine for longevity. This technique offers more coverage which allows longer time in between touchups than microblading. A great option for those with little to no eyebrow hair and suitable for all skin types. This technique requires two visits 6-8 weeks apart to complete and can last 1-3 years or more before a touch up is needed.
Ombré Brows-650
An eyebrow technique that is a powder brow but with a gradient being softer in the front. This technique is good for all skin types except very oily, enlarged pores or rough texture. This technique requires two visits 6-8 weeks apart to complete and can last 1-3 years or more before a touch up is needed.
Combo Brow-650
A combination of Nano Hairstrokes and Powder Brow techniques. This has hairstrokes in the front or where existing hair is and shading throughout the rest for natural looking density. A great technique for those with little to no hair and normal, dry, combination skin with small pore texture. This technique requires two visits 6-8 weeks apart to complete and can last 1-3 years or more before a touch up is needed.
Lash Line Enhancement-550 top and bottom | 400 top only | 250 bottom only
A fine thin eyeliner tucked into the lash line for a subtle yet eye opening natural look. This can last years and is complimentary to all ages.
Classic Eyeliner-650 top and bottom | 500 top only
A classic medium line to darken and compliment many eye shapes. This can last years before a touchup is needed.
Lip Blushing-550
A light color for a soft look to enhance and balance lip shape. This technique requires two visits 6-8 weeks apart. This can last 1-3 years before touchup is needed.
Lipstick Look-650+
A bolder look that defines and shapes with richer color. This technique requires two visits 8-12 weeks apart and can last several years before touchup is needed. Additional sessions may be needed beyond the initial for full saturation and will be charged separately as touchup pricing.
Dark Lip Neutralizing-650+
This advanced technique brightens and even tones of darker pigmented lips. This technique requires two visits 12 weeks apart. Often two sessions is enough to neutralize but results vary for many reasons. Additional sessions may be needed to neutralize or if a blushing tone is desired after neutralizing this will be charged separately as touchup pricing.
3D Areola Tattoo & Nipple Coloring-150hr+ varies
A realistic recreation of a natural looking areola customized to your coloring and body symmetry. This is custom based upon your needs whether you need a full 3D areola reconstruction or need just some soft color for symmetry.
Stretch Mark & Scar Camouflage-150hr+ varies
Blend stretch marks, scars and areas of lighter skin like vitiligo with custom mixed flesh toned pigments. This is for the body only.
Scalp & Beardline Micropigmentation-150hr+ varies
This technique simulates the appearance of hair follicles to fill in thin areas or scars on the scalp, hairline and beard line creating a natural looking illusion of density.
